If you are running your company properly, paying National Insurance, registered with HMRC, earning enough money, etc (which it sounds as though you are) then you should be fine. Just make sure to start preparing your application with plenty of time so you can get all the required documents together....

Limited company. Make sure any evidence of current employment (if you need to provide it) matches this too.

The dividend is considered as earned when it is paid. There is no reason to divide it over 12 months or any other number of months. Accounting years are not relevant for UKBA. A better way to show your earnings and dividend is shown below. A dividend is a one-off payment, not a monthly one, and pres...

Yes you can. The Tier 1 visa does not prohibit study (you just have to make sure you meet the earnings requirement for extension).

If you can afford the extra fees, I think it is definitely worth applying early to make sure you always have plenty of time on your visa. HR usually gets very edgy as you come towards the expiry date even if you can prove that you have applied for an extension. Speaking from experience, it is very s...

Get the accountant summary signed by the partner who is ACCA. The staff I usually deal with at my accountant are not ACCAs so their colleague (who is an ACCA) signed the documents for UKBA and specified her name and registration number in the letter.

You can take dividends at any time provided your accountant can calculate how much money is available (ie, need to keep money in the business account for taxes, expenses, salary, etc).

Just because they have done it doesn't make it right. Tier 1G is a visa granted to work not to to study. You can apply for you're Tier 1 G when you get here but there is a risk associated with it and only you can judge whether it is worth taking. Tier 1 G gives you the right to live in the UK and t...

I think the concept is fine but you would need to make your extension application from within the UK - seniors could confirm. You might also want to consider the long-term plan: if you are based outside the UK, you will not be able to get ILR due to absences. You would have to rely on the extension ...

Some companies will lend and some may not. The ones I have spoken with require a minimum length remaining on the visa (eg, one year). Other issues are if you work on contract (rather than permanent) and size of deposit. (If anyone has a broker/adviser they used while a contractor, send me a PM, I'd ...

In the event that further changes are made, it is likely to affect all categories of economic migrants... Maybe, or maybe not. You should look at the application form / guidance notes for extension which show how many points you would need depending on when your visa was issued. (And of course it is always possible they would change by the time you apply for your extension.)
