Switch from Work Permit to Working Holidays Maker

Hi there
I have been in the UK on a Work Permit for 1 year.
I qualify for the working holiday visa but i'm not sure if i can switch onto that visa from within the UK or if i need to return home to apply?

Could someone please clarify this for me, can i switch from within the UK.

Regards

Previous Earnings from Work

On page 6 of the HSMP application form it asks for start and end date of the earnings claim period, questions 27 and 28. My question is this: Since i am using the pro-rata principle as used in the guidance notes for 8months i worked overseas, do i enter this 8 month period in for these questions or ...

Hi again, If what woodieG says is right, that they will only pro-rata earnings if you have worked the whole 12 months (which makes since) then yes, you will need to include your indian pay slips. Can i refer you to point 43 Annex C of the guidance notes. It says all 12 months wages slips are needed....

Hi there, Yes it clearly states under Annex C, point 38 of the guidance notes that you can use a pro-rata formula If i was you, i would claim the previous 8months DEC06 to MAY06 and use the salary from this on a pro rata basis. The calculation should be as follows: 1, add total uk earnings for 8mont...

Actually getting a letter from a New Zealand University is very easy. All it takes is one email and its a completely free service (and fair enough after 4 years of fees!!) a few weeks later it arrives in the post... My point was that having to prove my degree was taught in English is rediculous. All...

Why must there be a query? I wanted to make the point that the application specifics for the HSMP is excessively pedantic. Plenty of people meet the criteria to gain HSMP status but getting through the application process is a nightmare. I was using the fact i was finding it hard to prove i could sp...

Since your P60 does not cover April through December 2006 i take it you would then be using two of your other forms of evidence to cover that period? I am in similar situation wher i have tax summary for part of my 12 months. I'm sure between your bank statements, letter from employer and payslips i...

What if the payslips are in digital format and have just been printed off? Do we need to get every single one signed to authorise them like it stated in the previous HSMP guidance notes. My employer didn't want to sign all 30 of them so i've only ot a few signed? Also, its states our evidence need t...

HSMP Inital approval

Hi there,
Just wondering if the inital approval for the HSMP is for 1 year or 2. There seems to be some contradicting posts around about this?

Cheers

Switching time suggestions

Hi there, I have a question regarding the best time to switch from Work Permit to HSMP with respect to the easiest method of reaching 5 years. I have only been here 6 months on a work permit which is valid for 3 years. I want to at some stage switch to HSMP as it give me greater freedom and potentia...
