My point precisely - which is why people like Dean Morgan need to get their facts right before spouting off and making mass sweeping statements which are grossly inaccurate and can often cause offense to may different people. Of course being a UK immigrant is a lot different than being a third-world...

Re: Record numbers of Brits fleeing this rain sodden island.

One of the people recently doing interviews on this matter is Dean Morgan from Workpermit , and he has absolutely no idea whatsoever about anything to do with people leaving the UK, he cannot even manage the company he respresents. People have a multitude of reasons and circumstances to leave the UK...

PPRs

Yep and also of course in which order they request info. Our background checks were done quite some time before, whilst, others have it done last . There doesn't appear to be too much 'standardisation' in terms of what gets done when. It seems to be down to whoever is working with your file. Which i...

Hi On average they reckon between 2 - 3 months, We had meds in Dec last year, and received passport requests within this time frame. So sometime soon is the answer !!!! We landed 1 March, if you drop them off you can pick up your visas 2 weeks later which means you can book flights etc as you have a...

Hi Lara

Yes, all schools from primary upto Higher ed, as I had to proved the transcript for my degree.

We are nearly at the end ( I think) of a long journey, and I think you have a good time frame to work within, so hope it all works out for you too !

Regards
Janet

Hi Lara If your old school/college is still standing they often keep registers of former students, that is how we accessed school/college info and they confirmed in writing our schooling there. Failing that your local authority should be able to help. Initially there is a lot of 'digging' to do and ...

Hi If its a copy of your police file that you are after - which I think it is, you need to apply to the met police in London - your local police HQ should be able to help though with their website address etc. The website is a bit messy to navigate, but the forms can be downloaded to complete and th...

Quey over this ?

Hi Finpro Hope you read this as I am further puzzled by the link sent through by CIC which did in fact send me to the new forms (simplified) despite us completing the old style ones initially ? The new forms ask for much the same data so does it really matter ? Also.... sorry questions questions !! ...

The wait !!!

Hi Mal I don't in all honesty know that I said anything particularly clever to warrant a response. In all honesty I wasn't expecting one !! I emailed the CIC office from the contact email on their website and explained that we have been waiting too long 2 1/2 years for medicals !!! I said others who...

waiting times

Hi sia2001 Hope you saw my last post re medicals etc. Yes, assuming the doc says we are ok and we have no reason to think otherwise  we should be soon on our way. I don't think the medicals are issued until all the other matters have been dealt with, it is if you like the last part of the proce...

Forms

Hi and thank you very much for the info regarding the location of the forms. We applied April 2004, received AoR June 04. We were using an agent, but became so frustrated that in the end I contacted the CIC direct and within the week the medical requests have arrived. So not very pleased as we spent...

Forms

Hi Finpro How do I find them though as they are no longer accessible on the website ? If they want 'updated' versions then there must be some means of accessing 'blanks' to complete ? still puzzled. Would the copies that agents (we were using but are no longer) have be able to be re-submitted ? purp...

Hi I am confused..... medical requests arrived today ( yippeee!!!) however they want also uptodate 'schedule 1' and ' IM008' forms for all family over 18. With the revised simplified forms there doesn't appear to be a schedule 1 ? or is it me ? Also is the IM008 still for the principle applicant and...
