The trick is that I should enter the country within a month from that date to be able to apply for ILR at the time my visa will expire (provided that I was successful in getting FLR) otherwis...

John please help! Thanks

Hi John, I hop you can help me by answering my inquiries: I have got EC under HSMP and intend to travel to the UK after one month or so. Urgent Inquiry about stay outside UK

I have got EC under HSMP and would like to know: 1. Does the 5 years period for ILR count from the visa stamp date or from the date of arrival in the UK? If from EC date then does this mean that I should enter the UK within 3 months of EC date? 2. How many days are permitted outside the UK in the fi...

aj_sp_007, I am not sure if you can do the same in India. The HSMP approval letter stated to check the location of the nearest British Embassy, High Commission or Consulate at http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk to apply for EC. In the application forms page there is a link to the British mission overseas whe...

Canada is a guaranteed migration from day 1 however under HSMP you need to re-qualify after two years. Also the cost of living in Canada is much lower than in the UK so I would say go for Canada. You may also job hunt remotely in both UK and Canada and then base your decision on the job opportunitie...

The process was simple and straighforward with the officer asking only a few questions in the interview afterwhich we paid the fees and they took our fingerprints. Surprisingly, we ...

Yes of course you can apply individually, actually most of the people on this forum apply individually. You need to carefully read the guidance notes issued by the Home Office before applying. BTW, the application fees will be 400 as of 1 April.

Yes I have ticked the Q33, gave tax paper for the previous year which entirely falls out of the period claimed (tax papers didn't cover any part of the period claimed) and got approval.

members previously posted on this forum that the country code refers to the band (A,B,C etc) and that the income band refers to the amount (17,500+ etc).
My consultant however has written the country name as country code and Band B as income band.
Not sure which one is correct.
