Thanks. I will go for 30 hours per week as I thought so too. I know already I can’t work for myself till the visa is processed.

Hi guys I have applied 10 days ago to switch from Tier 2 visa to Turkish business visa. I am still working where I am currently working, I wonder if I can quit or reduce my hours whilst waiting for the visa? Re: Unrestricted CoS - Covid situation

Hi, I'm not sure, if there's any thread already on this and I couldn't find any. I'm on Tier 2 General visa and I've got an offer from a govt org now. They said they're going to apply for unrestricted CoS and said it may take couple of weeks to get the CoS. They're expecting delayed processing by H...

Re: How long does UCoS take

Hi again,

Thanks for this. My employer called business help desk however the number is closed because of Covid. We are going to send them an email explaining the situation. I think that is the best thing to do?

Re: How long does UCoS take

Hi CR001, I was trying to get more info on this by looking at other member's topics. My company does not really know what they are doing, I am the only employer that needs visa. They do not have any to allocate, at this point I do not know what to do. I will ask them to give a call tomorrow is it on...

How long does UCoS take

Hi,
I have applied for UCos just 3 days ago, but from what I read, it takes 2-3 months and I do not have it, is there anyone applied for fast track service? Is there any guidelines on COS applications from government? I am not sure what to do, my visa expires in less than a month.

Re: Tier 2 Extension when?

Does that mean I can apply just before 31st or do I have to do it 11th? You need to apply for an extension before your visa expires. The 31st July date is for those people who are stuck in the UK with expiring or expired visas and cannot travel out of the uk. Also for the COS is it going to be from...

Tier 2 Extension when?

Hi all, My tier 2 visa is expiring on 11th of July and I read that HO extended visas till 31st of July. Does that mean I can apply just before 31st or do I have to do it 11th? Also for the COS is it going to be from 31st or 11th? Do you think it is worth to pay extra and get one day decision or is i...

Tier 2 Extension Salary Enquiry

Hi everyone, I am going to talk to my employer to ask for 5K raise to 30K for my tier 2 extension that I need to apply in June time ideally. I am just a bit confused about if the increase should be a few months before the application or would it make a difference if I get a raise starting from New C...

Re: Tier 2 extension salary requirement

£25,700 is based on 39 hours per week and if you don't meet that, it will be refused. The tier 2 policy guidance makes reference to the £30k salary requirement. Hi CR001 I had a look at tier 2 policy guide and number 83 refers to appropriate salaries which is saying £30K or higher when applying for...

39:37.5 x 25,700 would be £26,728. Am I right?

I will have a look. Thank you very much!

Re: Tier 2 extension salary requirement

I have read where it says experienced rate or £30,000 whichever is higher for extension? This applies to employer switch or experienced entry clearance from outside the UK. Note that for ilr your salary requirement is a lot higher than the SOC experienced salary. Thanks for fast reply, really appre...

Tier 2 extension salary requirement

Hi there I am due to extend my visa in July this year, my initial tier 2 visa was issued for 3 years and now I will have to earn experienced rate. However my SOC code 3422 is a level 4 (eligible for tier 2 for being creative sector) and experienced rate is £25,700. I only realised it might not be en...

Tier 2 Creative Sector

Hi everyone, I have got Tier 2 visa in 2015 with SOC code 3422 “K_itchen designer” even though it was level 4 job, it was labelled as creative sector hence it was exempt from level 6 rule. Now I am going to extend my visa next year, I have had a look at my soc code again but Appendix J has been slig...

Re: Tier2 General to UK Student visa process

You can work up to 20 hours per week under Tier 4 visa assuming you have your national insurance number. And full time on holidays. I am not very sure about Tier 4 independent visa but I am sure you and your family can switch from UK.

Switching to tier 2 from tier 4

Hi,
A friend of mine is thinking to switch to Tier 2 from Tier 4, she has 2 months left until her visa expires. So she wants to know if she is still eligible to work full-time whilst waiting for her Tier 2, even if her Tier 4 visa is expired. Thanks in advance.

Re: Tax free on Tier 2

Unlikely you can get VAT back on something you bought here, if you live here and are only leaving for a holiday. VAT back is for visitors leaving the UK with their items purchased here as far as I understand. Council tax, NI and income tax have absolutely nothing to do with VAT and customs duties. ...
