I have now received the official letter through, confirming I am now an Irish citizen!!!!All of my original documents have been returned too with no problems. I used this email address for the update and I usually get an answer within 24 hours or so with a reply Foreign.LONDON@dfa.ie

I think most applications are now going to Dublin, and from what I was told yesterday by the Embassy contact applications are taking 7 months, so if you submitted in May I would expect an answer around December time.

I submitted my application on 27th Feb and chased for an update today as it'll be 6 months on Monday. I received an email reply stating that applications were now taking 7 months but mine was at "a very advanced stage" whatever that means.

After me sending an update request email yesterday I've had a response confirming receipt of my application in London on 27th Feb and that my case had been sent to Dublin. They advised it's taking 6 months which is in line with other people experience on here.
You never know, it might be quicker

It would appear that applications made from the US directly into Dublin are taking 4 - 5 months whilst applications into the London Embassy are taking 7 months after being re routed to Dublin

I submitted mine on 27th Feb into London so I'm expecting a September response but, you never know.....

I emailed them using Foreign.LONDON@dfa.ie and got a response after 48 hours to my emailing asking for an update

I just got a response from my chaser email from the London Embassy and they just confirmed that my application was received on the 27th Feb and that the timescales were still 6 months.
