So eu 38/2004 has finally been stuffed back into the faces of eu member states with a demand to get their act together - about time. For those that recall a year or two ago the grief I communicated to the board about the treatment meted out by embassy's in Moscow, all I can say is the following memo...

The first time a week or so, then upped to 30 days - this was a few years ago, since then 12 months ME visas everytime. Given that they have to provide it FOC it makes sense for the Embassies to provide long term visas, remind them of this next time you visit. We have Schengen visas from most EU sta...

Russia, I am not entirely convinced that the reason you are whining about in a forum has anything to do with the explanation Wanderer gave. There is an apparent difference between the posts made by a bitter person who feels terrible that a law abiding couple was successful in their Immigration appl...

goldilocks, I'm probably amongst the more forthright on this board (rude, in some people's view, but nevertheless), unless you get on the phone to the Embassy and make it known in no uncertain terms what a shower they are and tell them that you will submit a complaint and appeal claiming damages etc...

Yes SILLY YOU... A VAF1 non-settlement visit visa application currently 85 pounds will be increasing to 200 pounds from April. Although you can ask for a 10yr valid visa there's no guarantee you will get it. Sort your facts out first before commenting. http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/6353/6356/1771...

Can you afford 4000pound in visit visa fees?

An ECO uses his/her own discretion about visa validity it could be 6 months it could be 10 years - trouble is no-one knows how they decide what term to give you. In practice this could mean 20 applications for 6 monthly visas over ten-years and at 200 each that's 4000 pounds....! Go ask your MP or y...
