So according to you- every employer should increase the salary of their current employees as per the new salary level, that's scary. If you are switching your employer- you don't have to leave the country. why don't you browse gov website for your options- it tells you clearly everything.

Brother- I am not sure but I guess you have to choose Extend your visa option because You can only switch if you're on a different category.
