Police registration for spouse visa?

Hello,

When a Russian has arrived in the UK on a spouse visa, do you know if they are required to register with the police, or they need only to collect their BRP?

Thanks

does anyone know if a copy is sufficient, or it needs to be the original that she brings with her?

Re: TB certificate when arriving in UK?

Thanks - hadn't spotted that.
I guess I'll have to post it back to my spouse before she flies to the UK

TB certificate when arriving in UK?

Hello, My spouse has been granted a visa for the UK. She already submitted her TB test certificate when applying for the visa, and it has since been returned to me from Sheffield with her other docs. We heard that she may need to show this certificate when arriving at Heathrow in a few weeks, but ca...

Using a schengen after spouse enters the UK

Hello, I'm delighted to say that my Russian wife has just received her spouse visa to join me in the UK, after nearly a year apart. Thank you to everyone who gave us advice and support along the way. We have one question: she is thinking of applying for a Schengen (for Europe travel) in the next wee...

documents to Sheffield

Hello,

My wife and I need to send documents to Sheffield for the spouse visa. Am I correct that we need to send all the original documents, and not copies (bank statements, marriage certificate, etc)? And the originals will be returned to her when she collects her passport/visa?

Thanks

Appendix 2 question

hello, if we are relying on the UK spouse earning over £18,600, it is clearly Part 3A of the Appendix 2 that we complete. But in question 3.3, where we choose Part 3A, there is also a choice of Category A or Category B as to the 'option you are relying on'. I'm not quite sure of the difference betwe...

Re: does the sponsor need to send everything to Sheffield?

I'm sure it'll be fine for you. Sorry to ask another seemingly idiotic question, but...am I right in thinking that the visa centre (in St Petersburg) will keep her passport until the initial 30 day entry visa is ready to collect, or they only scan your passport at the biometrics appointment and then...

does the sponsor need to send everything to Sheffield?

Hello, The information on the official sites seems very vague and unclear regarding the documents submission for spouse settlement visas. My wife (currently in Russia) has done the online application, and has her biometrics appointment in Russia next week. Am I correct in thinking that she needs onl...

Passport expiry date?

Hello all, I've been looking for info on this issue, but can't seem to find any. When a foreign national is applying for a spouse visa, from outside the UK, are there any rules about how long their passport must be valid for? I mean, the visa she hopefully gets will be 2.5 years, but the passport fi...

Re: Concern over negative balance bank statements

Re: Financial threshold to be raised?

It's horrible I moved back to the UK late last year and feel that I have done well to start a new career on about 24k - well above the 18,600, and in a couple of months it'll be 6 months of employment, so I'll be ready to apply for my wife to join me. If they whack it up to 25k or higher, I will fee...

Financial threshold to be raised?

In today's election manifesto published by the Conservatives (who are widely expected to comfortably win June's general election), they make mention of a wish to raise the earnings threshold for people who sponsor a family member to join them in the UK. With all the controversy over the existing 18,...
