Re: Citizenship application no reply after 10 months

Does anyone else have comments or suggestions please? Was writing to the HO about the omission enough? Or would they view the omission as grounds for refusal, regardless?

Re: Citizenship application no reply after 10 months

Have you received any kind of communication from UKVI? Without knowing what is actually holding up the decision there's very little to go by. Of course, advising them of omissions is always recommended. Which section of the Act? No communication from UKVI yet, my husband posted his letter regarding...

Citizenship application no reply after 10 months

Dear Forum members, I'd be very grateful for any advice you can give. I'm a British Citizen (I was granted citizenship in 1986), and my husband, an Iraqi national, applied for naturalisation as the spouse of a British Citizenship, on the 5-year route. We have two children, who are British by birth. ...

Re: Premium upgrade timeline ILR

Thanks CR001. When you say that I’m supposed to attend the PSC appointment too, to clarify I’m his British wife and sponsor. Both our young children are British. Will I have to attend in this case? Should the British children come too? One is 4 years old, the other 4 months.

Questions about attending PSC / PEO Liverpool

I’d be grateful for any advice from forum moderators and members who know about attending PSC appointments. My husband has been provisionally accepted for upgrade to premium (for ILR SET M 5-year partner application) and would go in person to Liverpool PSC. Can I attend the appointment with him? Are...

Re: Premium upgrade timeline ILR

Hi Recently has anyone upgraded from postal to premium and can you share a timeline and other info on the upgrade please? This would give me hope and some idea of how long it’s taking these days. My husband applied for a premium upgrade a few times and was provisionally accepted. I think it took a ...

Re: Overstaying before spouse ILR application

My question is whether they would accept our weak explanation for 10 days overstay, on the basis that it would disrupt the life of our two children if his overstay explanation were rejected and therefore ILR refused? Are they less strict where (British or non-British) children would be affected by a...

Re: Overstaying before spouse ILR application

Thank you vinny and makky86 for responding. Yes my husband will include an explanation for the few days overstay in his ILR application but I don’t know if it’s good enough as from what I’ve read you have to have been in a medical emergency or other similar major incidents for them to accept the ove...

Overstaying before spouse ILR application

Hello I would be very grateful for advice or info about my husband’s spouse ILR application. I’m British, my husband’s FLR expired on 1st January 2018 and for various reasons he will end up submitting his ILR application (spouse, 5 year route) a few days late. It will probably reach them on 10th Jan...

Re: ILR following FLR(M) with long absences

Original poster again - apologies I keep thinking of other points that may affect the ILR decision. We have a son aged 3 and a half, also a British citizen like myself. Do you think that since my non-British husband is both parent of a British citizen as well as spouse of a British citizen, this wou...

Re: ILR following FLR(M) with long absences

Original poster here - apologies for the typo, I meant to write FLR(M) granted July 2015, expiring January 2018 (not January 2015 obviously!).

ILR following FLR(M) with long absences

Hello I would be very grateful for any advice or thoughts about our situation. I'm British and my husband has a leave to remain as my spouse. His route so far: - Granted entry clearance in August 2012 (after rule change), visa for 33 months. - We together entered UK in August 2012 for one month only...
