Re: Tier 2 or Register child as British Citizen (MN1)

Thanks vinny. My worry was applying for both at the same time would mean which ever application was made first may be automatically withdrawn, much like how it states when you apply for tier 2 visas .i.e they ask at the begining do you have any prending applications with the home office and if you d...

What I wanted to know is, is it better to apply ...

Health and Care Visa Dependent - Doctor/Dentist in training

Does anyone know if they have changed the rules on doctor/dentist in training for the new health and care visa? Under the previous tier 2 visa dependents were not allowed to enter into training, however since the new skilled visa route has opened, Dependents under the Health and Care visa only have ...

Re: Dependent to General Tier 2 visa change

I'm confused.. if there was no application of a tier 2 general visa before the dependent visa.. how does that make it a cooling off period. I.e the first ever general tier 2 application is made after spending a year on dependent visa... so does that mean.. I have to wait another year after the depen...

Re: Dependent to General Tier 2 visa change

thanks CR0001,

Are you sure about the 6 year reset? so in the scenario posted by me, does that mean the cooling period doesn't apply either when shifting from dependent to general visa?

if this is true I'm quite relieved!

Dependent to General Tier 2 visa change

Could some one clarify these issues for me? 1.) IF a person who has spent a 1 year on a tier 2 general dependent visa shifts to his/her own Tier 2 visa (not a dependent visa) does it RESET her/his years spent towards obtaining an ILR or are the years spent on a dependent tier 2 visa counted towards ...
