Re: Replying to older posts

Thank you for pointing me to point 12 of the Top 25 FAQ's, I did find it helpful. One bit of information that I've been unable to locate in the FAQ's; however, is how to see whether a member is inactive. For this case, is it because the person who started that threat had only made that one post and ...

Replying to older posts

I was advised by Casa in the US & UK dual nationality thread that I shouldn't have dug up an older post by replying to it, and that the member who posted it hadn't been around for a while. I remember seeing a separate thread and another mod replied to a saying that there were already many relate...

Re: IP Blocking....

I'm also blocked from using the site when I'm accessing the site through my mobile and am not on wi-fi.

It sounds like I'm not the only O2 customer that has run into this issue.

My application has also reached the Awaiting a Decision phase on 25 May 2017. I hope it won't be long before the decision is made.

Re: US & UK dual nationality

The US requires that income over a certain amount must be declared through filing a tax return; but if she is working in the UK and paying the taxes due; then she will likely not need to pay taxes to the US as both countries have an agreement for it.

Not quite. A person must do it with an intention of giving up their US nationality. The US does allow dual nationality.

The letter will arrive in a 2nd class envelope, so it can take a week or so after they posted it.

For citizens of majority English speaking countries, the guidelines are slightly different as they won't need a certificate proving their competency in the language.

Passport application query

Hi, I have a question regarding applying for a passport. If my application for citizenship is granted, would I be able to apply for the UK passport immediately after receiving the naturalization certificate? I've looked through recent posts and the FAQ's, but have been unable to find a similar post....

Historical name changes

I recently applied for citizenship and I am worried as I have several name changes in my history, that it might complicate my case. I had three surnames by the time I was aged thirteen due to undergoing two adoptions. I do not have any documentation of my birth name, but I have nevertheless listed i...
