Tier 2 Dependant Application

Hi,

I am applying for my family's dependant visas to enter the UK. The start date on my CoS is July 1st but I started on July 28th. I am assuming I should use the date on my CoS in the application despite starting later.

Please advice.

Thanks!

Confirmation of Employment

Hi, I am preparing applications for Tier 2 Dependant visas for my wife and son. I started working in July and was wondering if I need to get a letter from HR confirming employment. I have the offer letter, start date confirmation, CoS and will have my first month's pay slip when I apply. Given that ...

Proof of Subsisting Marriage

Hi, I will be applying for dependant visas for my wife and son in the coming weeks and was wondering if any proof of a subsisting marriage should be provided. Our circumstances are below. We got married in December 2011 and lived together till September 2014; where I came to the UK for my studies an...

Re: New Visa for Dependants???

I phoned UKVI this morning and was advised (after clarifying with an immigration advisor) that my wife and son would in fact need to apply for tier 2 dependant visas as their tier 4 dependant visas are now invalid. I have sent an FOI request yesterday and hope to receive a written response from the ...

Re: New Visa for Dependants???

Noted with thanks! I believe this is what I have been looking for: "If the main migrant changes employer or educational institution, and is therefore issued with a new certificate of sponsorship and applying for leave to remain to work or study under their new sponsor, dependants do not have to...

Re: New Visa for Dependants???

The links are from 2014. The rules have moved on since then. Your dependents DO NOT have to apply with you when YOU switch sponsors if they still have a valid visa. Thank you! Their visa expires in January 2020 and mine in July 2020. Can they stay in the UK for 6 months after their visas have expir...

Re: New Visa for Dependants???

i dont think they can get you any confirmation. Also with a child, i dont think there should be any trouble at the airport. I apologise for the various questions but I have read on this forum that tier 2 dependants need to apply for new visas when the main applicant changes a Tier 2 sponsor. Does t...

Re: Urgent. Switch from my MPhil Tier 4 to Tier 2 Gen

I followed the guidance notes when I applied but am not experienced to advice you further. My only advice would be to read the guidance and perhaps contact UKVI for some clarity.

I hope you will be able to sort this out and best of luck!

Re: New Visa for Dependants???

As long as their visas are still valid, i think they can travel back with no problems. They are still pbs dependents. Many thanks for this. Do I need to get any confirmation from UK Visas & Immigration in case my wife needs some sort of confirmation at the border? She will take a direct flight ...

Re: Urgent. Switch from my MPhil Tier 4 to Tier 2 Gen

If your university can issue a student status letter confirming that you have completed a minimum of 12 months towards your PhD, you will be fine. The guidance for Tier 2 visas is very clear and if your read pages 29 and 30 (which I am sure you already have), you will get a good idea. Key is to get ...

New Visa for Dependants???

Hi, I was on a Tier 4 visa and switched to a Tier 2 General visa in June. My wife and son have Tier 4 dependant visas but left the UK in June for a holiday in our home country. I am planning to get them back to join me in the coming months but am unsure if they need to apply for Tier 2 dependant vis...

Tier 2 Unpaid Leave

Having not received any guidance from UKVI or my sponsor, I would be grateful for some advice on the following matter. My Tier 2 application was approved on June 13 in the UK and I received my BRP on June 16. I left the UK on June 19 and am planning to fly back to the UK to start work. Start date on...

Travelling Out of the UK

My Tier 2 visa application was approved on June 13th and I received my BRP on June 16th. The start date on my CoS is July 1st but due to personal circumstances, I am unable to start then so my HR has agreed to let me start on July 28th (which is within the 4 week extension period). This is all clear...

I was issued a CoS with the start date of July 1, 2017. Applied for visa through the Premium Service (within the UK) and decision was granted on June 13, 2017. I am flying home today and wish to return on August 15. My HR did not mention anything about this during initial correspondence but I read o...

relax. not an issue Many thanks! Just one more question; I have a letter from my bank confirming funds in a fixed deposit account. I submitted my application on May 31 and the letter is dated May 29. Passport Place of Issue

Re: Switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2 visa in the UK

If the bank statements are attached showing the balance, then this letter is useless. no need to attach unnecessary docs. I am using a fixed deposit account started this January. I will enclose the certificate but a letter from the bank confirming this is recommended as per my understanding of the ...

Switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2 visa in the UK

Hi, I have received an offer from my university to work as a lecturer and have booked a premium visa appointment for June 13, 2017. I have some questions and would be grateful if I could get some advice. 1. I have obtained a letter from a bank in my home country and this is a bank accepted by the ho...
