Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

yes, to me it sounds like they knew more and more people were going to share their stories with the media so they sent this out before the next wave of negative articles went online. If they sent out the email just to mess with peoples heads then i don't even know what to say about a person who is l...

Re: Sick leave while awaiting a spouse visa decision

If I were you the only concern I would have is that if the visa is rejected and you resubmit, then you would have to make 6 months of earnings over £18600 from the point of resubmission. However, if you would automatically appeal then this would not really be a concern. Is it a serious reason why y...

Re: Sick leave while awaiting a spouse visa decision

I applied in June, standard.

My doctor said I should be all healed in 3 weeks, elbow surgery so not major.

I don't have a confirmed date yet as I haven't committed to a date due to my worries about the effect on the visa application.

Sick leave while awaiting a spouse visa decision

Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone was on sick leave while they were waiting for a decision on a spouse visa. I am due to have an operation but have been delaying it due to the fear that if HO calls my employer that my sick leave will somehow affect the spouse visa decision. Can anyone please advise on t...

Re: Living abroad with spouse until visa approved

I currently am working in the UK full-time and meet the financial requirements. I applied for my wifes visa at the start of June. The plan was to ask work for extended unpaid leave. The thing that I am worried is Home Office asking if I currently work for the company and technically I will still be ...

Hi Everyone, Like many of you, I am still waiting for my spouses' visa to be approved but now it's completely unbearable to be away from my wife for half a year after marriage...and still no word from the hard working Home Office after more than 3 months. Changing Non-priority to Priority Application

Hi all, I applied for my wife's visa in June as a non-priority visa and regret it ever since as we haven't heard anything yet. I wanted to ask if there is any way to change a non-priority application to a priority application by paying an extra charge. Recently I came across this page (https://www.g...
