Nope she went back home and applied from there as a fresh ILR / spouse dependant visa as here visa validity ran out. will this be a problem ?

This reminds me something. if I use the formula to calculate the adequate maintenance fund, for self - employed, is salary + dividends accepted ? as self employed people take home minimum as salary and rest as dividends for tax purpose (still legal) I will be paying tax on both salary and dividends....

Thanks Vinny, so from your link "The Immigration Rules do not say that you must have been in the UK for the entire 2 years of your visa or permission to remain. Your application to settle here will be judged on its merits, taking into account your reasons for travel, the length of your absences...

Thanks John. Someone said because i am claiming child benefits and when i renew my ILR application for my wife and child, the home office might be picky because it is the child i am claiming for and renewing the visa
