Redundancy Package - Earning

Hi does anyone know if people get redundant and receive redundancy package. Let's say 3 months of salaries, can it be used as your earnings in the last 12 months for tier one extension?

Any thoughts would be grateful.

How long do we have after HSMP approval?

I know you have to apply for EC within 6 months after HSMP approval.
However, how long do we have after EC approval? Is there any timeline that we have to enter UK after obtained EC?

Just got my approval letter today. Thanks for everyone from this site for helping me out. I am not in a hurry to apply for the EC. For some reasons, I will apply it 4 or 5 months later before the letter expired. Good luck everyone! :)
