Re: Tier 4 Priority Delay??

Update: I got my visa! Very disappointed with how long it has taken, but the stress I've gotten from it is finally over :o Took 14 working days in total, can't imagine how long it would have taken if I didn't apply for the priority service! Congratulations! I will be sending my online application t...

Re: UK visa application delay experiences

I am going to apply for a visa this Saturday (couldn't before due to the 28-day rule) on the Priority Track. My visa counsellor told me that although the advertised waiting period for a priority application is 5 working days, they take 15 working days nowadays. Is that count from the day I send my ...

In that case, I'm afraid you will need to put this one down to experience.
I will take the risk and hope the people at border control are not mindless robots...

Re: Coming to my graduation ceremony on a Tier 4 visa

I am a visa national. I say it is daft because 1) I am coming for a purpose that IS related to my studies, which is to collect my diploma, 2) I have a return ticket 3 days after my flight into the UK, and 3) I am due to apply for a new Tier 4 anyway so the reasoning that I have no more business left...

Coming to my graduation ceremony on a Tier 4 visa

My current course terminates on 16 June 2017. I am flying from the UK to my home country on 18 June 2017. We purchased plane tickets and made hotel reservations with my family to attend my graduation ceremony, which is on 19 July 2017. My university advises against using my Tier 4 to attend my gradu...

Re: Forgot to update my police registration. What now?

Testimony to my finding are countless threads made under this forum by people who were as stupid as me - their visas were granted without any complicatons. Yes, as I said in a leave to remain application it is usually easily disregarded with a simple explanation and apology. Is a Tier 4 extension a...

Re: Forgot to update my police registration. What now?

That's good news. Although there is also some bad news if you are planning future any UK immigration applications. Any failure to adhere to your immigration conditions is a ground for refusal of a future immigration application. For a leave to remain application, it is a discretionary refusal under...

Re: Forgot to update my police registration. What now?

Update: I went to the police today with my new details; the police officer was very kind and helpful. I live in a student city so I guess that helps - it felt like she was familiar with clumsy university students forgetting their bureaucratic obligations! So problem solved with no issues whatsoever.

Forgot to update my police registration. What now?

I registered within 7 days of entering the UK as required in 2014. In 2015 my passport expired, I got a new passport and I moved to a new address. My university was notified of all of these changes but I completely forgot about police registration. When I was tidying my room yesterday I found my reg...
