Cash allowed to be carried

Hi,

I want to ask if there is a limit on the amount of cash(in pounds), you can carry with you in the Tier 4 student visa while travelling to UK? If yes, what is that limit?

Thanks for the answer. I have one last question. I am from India and my funds covering the fees are in INR. So now I saw a clause that we should convert the money to GBP(using Oanda) and mention that amount as per the date of application. So should I write that converted amount myself or is it neede...
