Have you stated that you will need a WP to work for them when you applied for this position? Otherwise talk to them straight away to see what's going on.

You just try your luck since although some of them don't specify whether or not they will apply a work permit for you, if you did quite well in the job interview/ convince them that you are the right candidate, they might still think about it.
