Hi,

As far as I know, at this moment he is liable
to be detained. Some times immigration officers will
take interview from him and arrange interviews with his
country embassy to prepare travel documents.

Your best option will be consult with a solicitor as
soon as possible.

Hi, From my experience, Home Office tends to take 6 weeks to six months. In some cases even longer. My suggestion to you will be: a. Ask your solicitor to chase the matter. b. Ask your local MP for help. They can chase the matter on your behalf. Key thing is here to have patience. Best not rush them...
