BC invitation finally arrived - thank you

Dear All, I have finally received my BC invitation yesterday and with that I end my UK immigration journey which lasted 10 years, 4 months and 9 days. Although I only had few posts/queries on the forum but reading through the experiences of other users with similar circumstances and the advice they ...

Re: Time to apply for BC

You can apply immediately after getting your ILR. If you apply through NCS, they check that your documentation is in order and you get to retain your passport and BRP, so you can travel while your citizenship application is in progress. You can also apply for your British passport concurrently. If ...

Re: Premium Appointments

Hi, I think it's too optimistic to try to find a slot one week in advance. I made my premium appointment on the 7th of August and I was aiming for 6th-7th September but unfortunately it was all booked. The earliest I could find was in the week starting 11st September (i.e 35 days ahead) ! I think la...

Re: 10 Years SET LR Form Questions

I was also advised by members of this forum to state how many days exactly (in addition to 9 years and 11 months). Not sure you need a cover letter for this. The Home Office knows the rules. My appointment is next month and I will write how many days on the application form itself next to the months...

Re: Long residence queries

iworker wrote:1. correct. thats fine. The date is counted when u attend the appointment, or the date you post your application (in case of postal applications).
2. Should not be a problem. No need for those docs as you are applying on 10 years.

iworker - many thanks for your response.

CR001 wrote:1. Yes, any time WITHIN 28 days before 29th September 2017.

2. Passports etc are fine. No need for all the other documents of residence.

3. 9 years, 11 months, x amount of days, depending on the date you apply. HO know the rules.

Thank you very much for your responses - much appreciated.

Dear Senior Members, I have the following queries regarding ILR Long Residence: (1) I have entered the UK on 29th September 2007 . Does that mean I can apply from 3rd September 2017 onwards even if I choose to apply in person? (2) I am providing all passports that I have had during my 10-year legal ...
