hi,

Has anyone heard back from UKBA for the 8th May applications ? my documents were taken and sent home saying we will contact you later. This was due to the IT issues and they were not able to process the rest of the applications

does anyone has any contacts to get java development jobs ? I have been in UK fo 4 weeks and looking for java jobs. all of them are asking for investment banking experience or prior uk experience. pls help me out.

hi,

I am not sure what is the minimum required becoz I had about 10 lakhs in my account when I applied for EC. From this forum I think people have suggested 5 lakhs.

hi All,

I got my visa stamped for 2 years. thanks for all the support from the forum members. my timelines for EC..

Applied on : 4th May
Stamped on : 29th May.

No medical was required. verification was done regarding my salary and job details.

I called them today. apparently they were closed on friday. no change in status. they asked me to call back on Wednesday. fingers crossed.

hi aprilhsmp, I called VFS this morning and they asked me to call back on Friday. I asked them about medical and she said medical is not mandatory for all and will be decided by the officer. I am not sure what is happening in my case becoz if they haven't called for medical after 10 working days, it...

hi,

I had shown 15 days hotel booking from booking.com. Regarding police clearance VFS people didn't mention about this when I asked for documents to be submitted. the fees is 18000 standard everywhere in India I suppose.

the above numbers are correct for chennai VFS. You need to try few times to get thru the line. prefarably afternoon hours.

I called VFS chennai number .. I asked for status on my EC. the info the VFS site says " Application has been forwarded to the British High Commission." . This message has been there since day 1. this is the most useless tracking system I have seen :)

hi guys,

Is it normal process to verify the passport during EC process ? I called up VFS chennai to check on my status and the lady said that my passport is being verified. its been 2 weeks since i submitted my EC.

do you know the number for BHC chennai . my EC application was filed 2 weeks ago and I haven't got any call for medical. Also, is the VFS numbers doesn't seems to be working becoz no one picks up the call. has anyone tried talking to VFS chennai ?

I checked with vfs office at Hyderabad before applying for EC and then cofirmed that it is mandatory from April. Not sure about other centers.
