you previously had issues with an ho error you did not challenge and had a period of overstay of about 50 days, which means you do not have 10 years lawful residence, the key is lawful residence, not just residence. Appreciate the reference to my past post! I didn't want to go into too much detail ...

Hi there, Long story short... From 2007-2018 I lived in the UK for a legal and continuous 10+ year period, through a combination of Student visas, employment visa and then a partner visa. Despite meeting the eligibility requirements, I did not apply for ILR and Citizenship in 2018 for various/stupid...

Thanks for the response. No, sadly I don't have anything in writing. Is this the sort of thing that an SAR would help clear up? I'm curious if the Home Office ever considered me an overstayer at all, or if they just extended my initial leave. Might there be case notes from that subsequent applicatio...

I entered the UK in Sept 2007 on a Tier 4 (general) student visa. Five successful visa applications later under various routes, I am now looking to apply for ILR based on 10-year Long Residence. The only potential issue with my application as far as I can see is that in 2009 I inadvertently overstay...

Yes, and that same human nature has resulted in refusals for some members due to being over eager and applying ONE day too early in person. Can you point to any recent examples of this happening? I've searched the forum and can see lots of questions about this but not any outright refusals on this ...
