As lizzy90 correctly pointed out, your boyfriend cannot marry on just a Visit Visa. He would either need a Marriage Visitor Visa if he intends to go back after the marriage or a Fiance visa if he intends to settle down over here with you. He is eligible to come to the UK and get married to you with ...

I tend to think as Docterror, why she should be obliged to work or look for a job if she doesn't need it Fortunately, the HO tends to think the same way as well as evidenced by the changes they made to the Section 4 of the EEA2 forms from the August of 2006. I would not suggest sending your wife's ...

OK! Let us get to the task at hand and start with your queries one by one My initial query is whether I can apply for a EEA residence permit from within uk on an hsmp visa. Yes you can! There is no "no switching " rule from the immigration to the EEA route. But I needed to know whether the...

If it was 2006 and she hasn't been doing anything, then your application is likely to be refused because she is not "exercising treaty rights". Sorry sakura, I dont think that is quite right. She is exercising her treaty rights as a self-sufficient person. AlexS could easily send his last...

They do not apply to dependents of work permit or HSMP visa holders who are subject to the usual requirement of not spending more than 90 days per year outside of the UK in order to qualify for ILR Dawie, from where did you get this "90 day" information? Isnt that the requirement for natu...

Unfortunately its highly unlikely your friend will be issued another Working Holidaymaker visa again as it one of those things that you get only once in your life.

Any loopholes?..try some other visa, like visitor visa or HSMP or WP visa if she can find some job here.

I do not know whether the IO(Immigration Officers) are trained enough right now to remember that you do not lose your right of residence in the case of a divorce or seperation, but I suggest that you donot become the guinea pig who gets to find out how well trained they are. "Or its no longer needed?".. as in people used to do that before- take the permission of the HO before going on a holiday?

You will have plenty of time to tell the HO about your holiday when you apply for your ILR. No need to do such a thing now.

Sid79 unless someone with a different experience can suggest otherwise, if the gap of the 5 months was entirely the HO fault because of the back log of cases, the gap of 5 months should not affect your ILR application. Just to make further clarifications, did you apply for the extension of your visa...

Using your own numbering to answer- 1)You are to only use one SET(O) form for you and should put down your wife and daughter as your dependants. The SET(F) would have been appropriate to use for your daughter only if you were already "present and settled", which is not the case. She will b...
