SET M to Citizenship?

I am in the UK since 2004 on a work-permit and then in Dec 2006 I applied for FLR (M) while I was in the UK. In Dec 2008 I will apply for ILR based on 2 years of marriage. Can I then immediately apply for citizenship based on 5 years in the UK?

I work through my own limited company and get payslips every month. My wife is the secretary and we both draw dividends from the company.

Do I need to submit bank statements (personal and business) for the last 6 months?

SET (M) query

I have a query regarding the 6 letters of proof required for form SET(M). Most of the letters in joint names (from council, British Gas etc) state my wife's name as Mrs. <My Last Name> and the letter from my mortgage company states her name as Miss. <Maiden name> She has not changed her name on her ...

Thanks John.

To clarify, I can apply for SET(M) 28 days before my FLR(M) expires and then apply immediately for Naturalisation (subject to law at that time).

Need to get cracking with the Life in the UK test.

Cheers

Parents

I am an Indian citizen and my wife is British. My parents would visit us once in every 1-2 years in the future from India. Do they have to apply for a visa each time they come or is there any type of non-settlement visa for 10 years?

THanks

John,

Just so that I am absolutely clear, I meet the 3 year requirement in 12/2008 based on 2 years of FLR(M) and previous 1 year on Work Permit?

Hence, I apply for ILR in 12/2008 after clearing the revised Citizenship test and then immediately for Naturalisation.

Thanks

Cheers John.

Yes, I am married to a British citizen and have a visa for 2 years. Does your reply imply that I can apply for ILR (post Citizenship test) in 12/2008 and immediately apply for a British passport?

Thanks again. Keep up the good work!
