Yeah, I will be a brave person to define exact rules followed by INIS but in my case I applied the next day when I completed 5 years based on the stamps in my passport

you can submit an additional letter detailing the reasons for the absence along with the application, I did the same and my application is now approved.

I am afraid Rishab you have to legitimize your free lance relation in some formal bond . You might also be able to apply as a live in partner best to consult a solicitor, I would suggest. All the best !!!

It could also be interpreted as the department will going forward only roll out fewer approvals hence negating the need for larger conference hall.
