I never heard anyone applied EU5, when your EU3 is already approved. I applied retention because I was granted residence via EU1. I believe your solicitor is wrong OR New to this EU5 domain.

automatic temporary permission is for those who have valid permissions.. where as mine one is revoked. so no point to apply.

well I was planning to do I met solicitor, took Offer letter from work and then they hit me with refusal/revocation of temp stamp4.. so I stop there then.

It's funny because that was just a temp stamp of 3 months expiring on 12 Oct.. looks like they will send me my passport and GNIB back just week before the expiration. and then I'll have to send them back again for another temp stamp.
