There is no UK embassy within Honduras. Does this mean for her to move here to the UK she needs to leave her USA life for potentially 10 years to take the risk on applying for the visa to live here in the UK (from a country near Honduras) - or can she apply from an embassy of Honduras in the USA?

I have seen this cash savings requirement pop up on the websites... I was under the impression it is £16,000 not 60k+ ? And it needs to have been inside your account for 6 months or more.

We met on facebook in 2010 and have been friends ever since. Talking daily etc. She lived in Honduras up until 2012 when she moved the USA on a visa that allowed her to stay either 3 or 6 months. After the months were up however, she never went back and has stayed within the USA for the last 5 years...
