Re: JCAP passport in different county

To be honest, I did ask. When I did all the paperwork in Nottingham and applied, the lady checked everything and told me that once after the ceremony my council (Leicester city) will let the HO know i have attended and the HO would let the HMPO know and my passport would be printed. I have asked Lei...

Re: JCAP passport in different county

Thank you very much and I also hope so.... I've talked to the register lady today before she gave me the certificate and she was very clear to tell me that the only thing they do is give me the certificate and that was it... I did ask if they notify visas and immigration that i am not an immigrant a...

JCAP passport in different county

Hi, I have applied for my citizenship and passport all together in Nottingham as my county won't do the join application. I have now received my approval and had my ceremony (in my county) but when I've asked, they told me that they would not notify anybody that i am now a british citizen, that the ...

Private ceremony question

Hi,

I see a lot of people that can actually book a private ceremony if they want to. I've received my letter and called the number to book mine and they told me that they don't do private ceremonies.. Is this right?

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Very short and sweet...did take 8 days to get a response. This was the body of the email Dear Sir/Madam: I received an email last week that indicated that my application for naturalisation had been successful and further instructions would be sent to me via royal mail. To date I have not received a...

Re: HO requested original documents

I was wondering that though... if on the website even if it says "awaiting decision" you may still get the approval letter either way. I think you are the first person i see that says that and in my head i can at least say "ignore that" when i see my awaiting decision frustrating...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Hi,

I was about to say the same thing everyone else seems to be having the issue. I've applied mid July and before it used to say "last updated 25th of July" but not it just says "awaiting decision" with no date on it... Anybody has idea why this is?

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Me too! Applied early May with an acknowledgement email 18 May. Still waiting. It is weighing on my mind. Good luck everyone, patience will prevail. Maybe they don't like us kiwi's  I am an early July applicant and was planning on going home for Christmas but that's not looking likely  ...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Quick question... I've seen some posts saying that you got "Decided" on the website but then after enquiring the ho people got told that actually it was not yet decided....
Anybody had it the other way around? "Awaiting decision" on the website but still got the letter from HO?
