Hello Elizabeth? After 6 weeks, you received the Biometrics letter, and after that how long did you have to wait to receive the COA with right to work? Thanks I received the COA with right to work 5 days after enrolling my biometrics. I couldn't do the biometrics immediately after receiving my lett...

Yes, that's the email address. Sorry for not posting it before; I didn't know if we are allowed to post email addresses in the forums.

Re: EEA(PR) apprication with gaps, date you first entered th

The application questions are so poorly worded. You could try calling the EU helpline and ask them how to interpret them, but they might not know any better than you. Another option is to apply with a paper application and then write in what you mean; then it will be both relevant and factually true...

Re: To lawyer up or not to lawyer up, that is the question!

I'm a US citizen (Polish husband) and applied in March. I just got my residence card yesterday. Hi Elizabeth, That's really quick. I can't believe you have got your RC in less than 5 months. Fingers crossed our straightforward cases would be dealt with quickly like yours Yeah, my application was re...

Re: Urgent advice needed in regards to traveling!

Yeah, I'm not an expert, but I agree it's probably cheapest and easiest to bring all necessary documents (including evidence that you're a qualified person or permanent resident) with you and apply for new Family Permits for your children.

Re: Which route to take to Sue the Home Office

While I don't know exactly how you should pursue justice, I just wanted to say I would do the same thing if I were in your shoes (sue or press criminal charges, once the officers are identified). What happened to you and your family is really outrageous.

Re: HO phone or email add for status of EEA FM&Reg Cert for

I was told back in April that the service standard for receiving the Biometrics Enrolment Letter is 6 weeks. If you don't receive it 6 weeks after applying, you can email Euro Biometrics and request the letter. The number for the European Enquiries helpline, which can provide you with the current se...

Re: To lawyer up or not to lawyer up, that is the question!

I'm a US citizen (Polish husband) and applied in March. I just got my residence card yesterday. We did the application ourselves, and while it was annoying, I don't think it's worth 2000 GBP to have it done by a lawyer. I'm guessing you'd have to assist the lawyer by providing the documents anyhow, ...

Re: EEA FP granted – what next to prove right to work?

As far as I know, your wife's employer can't use your registration certificate as a "statutory defence against liability...for employing an illegal migrant worker." Basically, even though your wife has the right to work under EU law even without possessing the documents on the Home Office'...

I would like to sponsor my wife, named XXX, for an EEA Family Permit, so that she can join me in the UK. We are including the ...

Re: EEA Permit

I read advice somewhere that you should only give them the bare minimum. This details the required documents: https://www.gov.uk/family-permit/documents-you-must-provide The "Guide to Supporting Documents," which they provide a link to, lists a lot of stuff which you don't need to provide....

I can empathize...my hands were shaking when I got my package on Saturday. I was lucky that I didn't know it was coming or else I would have been worrying about it while waiting, same as you. I know many people have received the residence card BEFORE receiving their documents, but for me it ...

Updating Home Office AFTER receiving residence card?

Hello, I'm a USA national married to an EU national; we're living and working in the UK. I applied for a residence card (EEA FM) in March. My husband changed employment in mid-July (still full-time and qualified to be in the UK). He has not received a copy of his contract yet, nor a payslip. However...
