Re: Error on registration certificate

What did you supply as.place of birth in your child's application? If you stated Cornwall, you need to apply for a replacement certificate and pay as it was your mistake. If you supplied the correct town, then you need to apply and explain it wasn't your mistake, and you will receive a new registra...

Error on registration certificate

Our daughter's registration certificate arrived beginning of December. In the process of applying for her first British passport, we have realised that they want the town of birth that is on her registration certificate. However, her registration certificate lists "place of birth" as Cornw...

Re: MN1 time limit for enrolling biometrics?

The checklist for my daughter's MN1 application says to upload her passport.

Do they mean just the bio page? The instructions aren't explicit. She has a few stamps in the back (but no visas or permits for UK and she hasn't been asked about travel history in the application).

Provide Settled Status reference number as it’s a digital status. You can load the as well.
OK thank you. The reference number is on his confirmation letter so that should be sufficient

Re: MN1 time limit for enrolling biometrics?

Question about evidence of parent's (applicant's dad) settled status for the MN1 application. He is Polish and thus doesn't have a BRC. His proof of settled status is online. Would his status outcome letter from the Home Office be enough evidence, despite this letter explicitly saying "This let...

Re: MN1 time limit for enrolling biometrics?

You have 45 days to enroll Biometrics. The centres are open on weekends. Just check based on your location and where you go. You can attend at any centre. Referee declarations should not be months old. A few weeks is fine. Thanks for the information! We live in Cornwall so the centre in Exeter is t...

MN1 time limit for enrolling biometrics?

We are nearly finished with our daughter's MN1 application but before we submit I was wondering if there's a time limit for enrolling biometrics. Because of where we live, this is a day trip for us, and our daughter is about to start reception, plus I work full time, term time and am not supposed to...

MN1 Parent's Immigration Status Question

Hello, We're applying to register our daughter (born 2019) using the online MN1 form, based on my husband's settled status (indefinite leave to remain under the EU Settlement Agreement, granted to him in 2020). I want to make sure I understand the wording of this question: "Are you relying on y...

Re: Airline agent confused--travelling from US to UK

Did you come to the UK based on the EU settlement scheme? For some reason, only my son's Norwegian passport is linked even though I did state he has Canadian as well. I was hoping to find a way to link his Canadian one along with his Norwegian one because the Norwegian Embassy is as useless as boob...

Re: Airline agent confused--travelling from US to UK

How were you able to link both the US and Polish passports to the settlement status? Also to clarify she doesn't have a Polish passport yet, just a Polish ID which we picked up in Poland back in 2019 while she was still a baby. I know technically she should have entered Poland on a Polish passport ...

Re: Airline agent confused--travelling from US to UK

How were you able to link both the US and Polish passports to the settlement status? Honestly I haven't no idea. I wasn't even aware her passport was linked until the border guard in the UK told me. I guess the Home Office did it on their own at some point? I can't remember if we input her US passp...

Re: Airline agent confused--travelling from US to UK

It is unfortunate - foreign airport agents don't have access to Home Office systems and frequently demand a "visa" or a "card" - looks like a problem with UK immigration going all digital. These stories are quite frequent here and in other forums. Can't really suggest much apart...

If wrongly refused boarding, then ask the airline to contact a Chief Immigration Officer directly.
Noted--thank you for the advice.

Airline agent confused--travelling from US to UK

Hello, I travelled from the US to the UK with my two daughters (4 year old and 2 year old) on Friday, after visiting family in the US for two weeks. My husband is Polish (couldn't get holiday to travel with us), I'm American, 4 year old is American+ Polish, 2 year old is British+American+ Polish. Af...

Proof of address for EUSS BRC

Hello, I have applied for an updated EUSS BRC, to replace my old residence card. I have presettled status as the spouse of an EU national (I'm a USA national). In the document checklist it says I need proof of address, but frustratingly, doesn't specify which documents to provide or how many. My nam...

Re-entering UK with settled/pre-settled status

Hello, we are travelling to Poland in June for 3 weeks, returning on the 29th of June. My husband is Polish, I'm American, 3 year old is American + Polish, and 11 month old has triple citizenship (including) British. Basically I'm terrified of not being allowed to re-enter the UK, but I think we've ...

Re: Presettled status for toddler with British citizenship

Do you happen to know for a worker with a child born in 2019, if it has to be evidence for the 5 years immediately preceding her birth, or can it be any five year period before her birth? Any continuous five year period of the EEA parent exercising treaty rights (by, for example, working) before th...

Thanks, I have seen this, but don't find it super clear. Do you happen to know for a worker with a child born in 2019, if it has to be evidence for the 5 years immediately preceding her birth, or can it be any five year period before her birth? Are P60s and payslips required, or would a letter plus ...

Re: Presettled status for toddler with British citizenship

Thanks for the reply. I guess my fear is, what if they reject her passport application and it proves impossible to find all the documentation they want to prove my husband had permanent residence at the time of her birth? He has a lovely, easy 5 year period of employment between 2007-2012 for the sa...

Presettled status for toddler with British citizenship

My husband is Polish, I'm American. We both applied to the settlement scheme and he has settled status and I have presettled status. He's lived and worked in the UK since 2006, so although he never applied for permanent residence, it was acquired automatically before our daughter was born in January...

Baby travelling on American passport?

I'm American and my husband is Polish. I have a residence card as the family member of an EU national. My husband has never applied for a residence card, and we've chosen not to apply to the new registration scheme until we see how Brexit pans out. We have an 8 month old daughter and have already re...

Re: EEA Family Permit: Do I need to enter the UK with my spo

Speaking from personal experience, there shouldn't be a problem. I (non-EEA) joined my EEA husband in December with an EEA Family Permit. He couldn't get the day off to meet me at Gatwick. I explained this to the officer and she was fine with it.

Re: EEA FP granted – what next to prove right to work?

I fear this would slow down my wife's residence card application, which we need processed ASAP to get the Certificate of Application (we can't wait 2 months for that!) I don't want to give anyone false hope, which is why I haven't said anything about this before, but it's worth checking to see if a...
