Hi, I have acquired ILR through Tier 2 General route and my wife (Tier 2 Dependant) will be eligible for her ILR in May completing 5 years. I have following questions for SET(O) form. 1. I have opened a Pvt ltd company to start contracting and made my wife as 'shareholder' in it recently. There is n...

Marriage Certificate Requirements

Hi, We have a laminated marriage certificate from India which we tried to de-laminate and got slightly tampered. To cover that, we have got a non-judicial stamp attesting the duplicate copy from Marriage Registrar office. Though the stamp is in Hindi language. Will this be acceptable for registering...

MN1 Form Laminated Marriage Certificate

Hi, I (father of the child) will be applying for my son under section 1(3) (child born in the UK to parents who now at least one parent holds ILR) and have been asked for marriage certificate by the council for NCS service. I am slightly confused as the FAQs here say that child born after 2006 do no...

Re: Switching from Tier 2(General) to ILR with dependants

Firstly I can't thank you enough for your prompt responses and helping me out. :D Sorry No I meant Tier 2 dependant only. I will acquire ILR so referring them a ILR dependant which is incorrect I now understand. My dependants (wife and son) will have enough validity and do not require any extension....

ILR Dependant (Tier 2 Route) Absences

I understand there is no rule applied for ILR dependant (via Tier 2 route) for number of absences they can have but it seems people are suggesting not to have more than 90 days absences from UK before application. Can someone please advise below? 1. How many days of absences outside UK are allowed f...

Re: Switching from Tier 2(General) to ILR with dependants

I have final question related to this. My wife and son are planning to go to India for about 4 months. This is on top of 1.5 months spent this year. My wife ILR dependent will be due in April. Do you see that as problem? I understand 180 days rule doesn't apply to them but longer period of absences ...

Re: Switching from Tier 2(General) to ILR with dependants

I have more query. If dependants continue to be on Tier 2 dependant visa and I acquire ILR status.

Can the dependants travel outside UK for holidays etc. or they should wait until ILR is granted?

Switching from Tier 2(General) to ILR with dependants

Hi all, I will be eligible for ILR in Jan 2018 completing 5 year period while my wife who joined me post 2012 won't be eligible to. She will have her Tier 2 dependant visa valid until the end of 2019 and will be eligible for ILR in April 2019. We also have a child who is born here. Therefore my ques...
