Re: IHS Payment (switching Dependent > Skilled Worker; same period)

Yes, any application implies paying all the associated fees including IHS. A refund might be given pro-rata of the time remaining in the previous leave. If eligible this refund is automatic to the original form of payment, no need to be claimed. Thanks... but what are the eligibility criteria? If y...

IHS Payment (switching Dependent > Skilled Worker; same period)

Hello,

Do applicants have to pay the IHS again when switching from a Dependent visa to a T2 Skilled Worker visa (with his/her own sponsor) for the previously paid period (using their own funds)?

If yes, can they claim a refund later, at least?

Thanks!

Re: Switch from ICT to new PBS

Hi, in-country switch from T2 ICT to Skilled Worker Visa is allowed, even if it's a change of sponsor. Best of luck!

Switch from Tier 2 dependent to Tier 4 Child

Hello, towards the end of my Tier 2 ICT visa tenure, I would like to switch to a Tier 4 Child visa for my son, so he can continue his education in an UK Independent Boarding school and until I return to the UK with a Tier 2 General/ICT Visa again. Will this be allowed? Can the child switch and conti...

Re: Wife and Son coming on different dates

OK, I thought if my son's application was made separately, I should be using my bank statement being the main applicant - but from your comment I understand that it is not the case.

Thank you for all your help and guidance.

Re: Wife and Son coming on different dates

And that's where I am concerned too! Any suggestions - should the two applications be done separately? The only thing is that I want to use my wife's bank a/c statement to prove that we have sufficient funds. My bank a/c statement (if my son were to apply later/separately) will not show sufficient f...

Re: Wife and Son coming on different dates

If the applied for travel date is unnoticed and the vignette needs correction - will it be an easy thing to do and what will be the associated cost like?
Thanks!

Re: Wife and Son coming on different dates

My wife has to sit an exam in early Apr 2018, so she will be here by mid-Mar 2018 and prepare for the exam. She wan't to study those last 2/3 weeks in peace - LOL!

I plan to go back in mid/late Apr 2018, and bring my son along with my parents (they will travel as visitors).

Thanks!

Re: Wife and Son coming on different dates

Thank you for your response and this great service that you have been keeping up with.

As we will be putting two different dates for UK entry in their applications, their vignettes should have different dates as well - right?

Sponsor getting re-branded

Hello, My sponsor is getting re-branded and will have a different name come Jan 2018. I am preparing to apply for my wife and son in Jan end/Feb start 2018 - therefore, would I need some additional document as my CoS will still have the old name of my sponsor/company from 2016 when it was issued (an...

T2 ICT Dependent Visa to Fresh Visa

Hello friends! My wife moved to UK with a Tier 2 ICT dependent visa, and now she has a sponsor for Tier 2 visa. Can she apply for a fresh visa without surrendering her current dependent visa? And would the cooling period apply to her?

Note: we are citizens of India

Thanks!

Re: Switch to Tier 2 General from Tier 2 ICT dependent

Yes, but she cannot 'switch', this implies a switch within the UK. She has to apply from home country once the full and proper RLMT is completed and she is offered the job and CoS issued. Thank you for your kind response. Can she apply immediately or would she need to serve any cooling period? Than...

House - Sell vs. Rent, when Tier 2 ICT visa expires

Hello, I bought a house in UK with help of a residential mortgage. I am in UK under a Tier 2 ICT visa which expires in 2021. Would I need to sell the house when I leave UK (i.e. become a non-resident) or can I keep the house, change my mortgage to a buy-to-let, and let out the property? as I plan to...

Refund of National Insurance contributions?

Hello, my question is in context for those in UK under a Tier 2 ICT Visa - if they can claim refund for the NI contributions made during their stay in UK, and when leaving UK i.e. post expiry of the visa tenure.

Thanks!
