I don't think there are any cons to declaring that you've got a passport, as by default your child will have the first nationality and then be registered as British. and you've already included the national ID. I know that in ILR case, when you apply you cannot travel abroad, in doing so your application is automatically withdrawn.

But is it the same case for naturalization? After submitting application will I have to wait for decision before I can travel or leave UK?

I would also like to mention that throughout these 10 years I have maintained a continous period of stay, i.e. never once stayed away for more than 180 days in one stretch, and also have not exceeded the 540 days maximum.
