Thanks I had thought it was a condition when applying under treaty rights???

Anyway my hubby has his European medical card previously E111 .....but thought it would be good to have medical coverage!

Medical cover for EU spouse?

Can anyone let me know where to get good medical cover for my husband non-eu we will probably get private medical cover in Ireland with Vh*/Aviv*/Qu*nn but wondered what insurance other people took out when moving to Ireland?

Yes...it is more my hubby....I'm sure I'l find something...I have alot of experience and plan on doing some evening courses and would love to study....but my hubby is not a qualified person and he is a forgeiner to boot! Oh....just back from Morocco....it is really beautiful....if you do eventually decide to marry there!

Jenna....I'm sure you will be able to apply for british citizenship...on the basis of your father....also maybe you will not have to be married...if you can prove a durable relationship.....obviously if you have a child together is a good start...if you go the Irish route...it takes longer and no gu...

Not sure his family connections will make a difference as he is classed an overstayer....which is so frowned upon.... Not a problem...right so if you get married in Morocco...and say live in the UK or even northern Ireland I think you can apply for what is known as a Family permit so he can join you...

Well since we are entitled to it...I thought why not apply.....it will give my husband easier access to travel in Europe! Even though he should have it anyway in my opinion as he is married to an EU citizen!

Think it will be an uphill battle though....

You would have to get married in Morocco...otherwise seriously doubt he would be able to get back in...even applying after marrying him it will be so difficult as his immigration history will go against him! You are in a difficult situation but not sure how you can resolve it from Ireland! Also Moro...

Jenna - from my understanding even if you were to marry in Ireland... which is quite hard...if your partner has no documents he would still have to go home and apply for an entry visa in order to regularise his stay??? Have a look here....
