New Style JSA and Casual Work

Hi! I lost my permanent job recently and applied for new style JSA. I attended an interview a couple of days ago and was told to come back every 2 weeks to see my adviser. I'm also in three casual work lists for different roles within the same company, but haven't been called in the past ten months....

Help regarding EU for Nationality Application

Hi all! I've been here since 2007. I haven't applied for PR, as I don't have five years of continuously employment as two of the companies I worked for closed down. Anyway, I intend to apply for Settled Status as soon as we are able to do so. Since they are going to stop issuing PR... if I want to a...

Re: Permanent residency questions (salary + fees)

Following, as in one year I only made £5-ish K because I work as casual and also was unemployed for three months and not in receipt of benefits.

PR docs

Hi! I am going to send my PR application shortly and want to double check that I'm sending all the docs needed. - To proof my residence: 5 x House Rates letters from Land & Registry - To proof my employment: 4 x P60 + a couple of payslips per year I don't have one of the P60s and only was given ...

Re: UK Naturalisation and 10 years of employment records

I didn't know that I'm going to have to wait 12 months after getting my PR. The date you 'attain PR' is different and earlier than the 'date on PR card'. You will likely get a letter stating the date PR was 'attained automatically' and this is the relevant date to count the 12 months (unless marrie...

Re: UK Naturalisation and 10 years of employment records

Common causes of refusal are as follows : 1. Exceeding the absence limit in the 5 years immediately preceding the date of application and the 12 months immediately preceding the date of application (or 3 years if married to a British Citizen) 2. Not being physically present in the UK at the start o...

Re: UK Naturalisation and 10 years of employment records

You are misunderstanding the question in the form. You do not have to have 10 years employment to apply for citizenship. Not everyone does especially applicants who have been here for less time, as the question states. If you have 10 years emoyment list iy. If you dont then simply list what you hav...

Re: UK Naturalisation and 10 years of employment records

You are required to LIST 10 years EMPLOYMENT in the form. It is not asking you about living in the UK. Thanks! Therefore I have no chance of applying for naturalisation yet. I'll need to wait for another three years to apply. Is there any point in applying for PR considering I don't qualify for nat...

UK Naturalisation and 10 years of employment records

I'm going to apply for PR, but I'm going to wait until May 2018 so I'll have 5 years of continuously employment. Anyway, I was looking for the requirements for naturalisation. It seems I have to proof my past ten years. The thing is, I moved to England in 2007 and then to Northern Ireland in 2010. C...

Re: PR and Unemployment. Would I qualify?

It's what I was thinking "UK EHIC Card" can only be used when traveling outside the UK for example when holidaying in Spain. If you held an EU EHIC card it could have been used to cover you in the UK as a student, self sufficient person. On the contrary a CSI would have been required. Tha...

How many years are covered by an EHIC Card issued by an EEA member state other than the UK? When did you apply for your UK EHIC Card?
The EHIC is valid for up to five years and I haven't been covered the whole time. I think I'm going to wait for May 2018 to have more chances.

Re: PR and Unemployment. Would I qualify?

Forgot to ask, if they refuse my PR, could I still apply for a Residence Certificate? Thanks! I just read the HO page and realised that the Residence Certificate is for those who have been here less than five years. I think I'm going to wait for next year before my current contract is over in June ...

Re: PR and Unemployment. Would I qualify?

Thank you. I ordered my last EHIC card from the UK, as I've been living here since 2007. I can't use my previous years in the UK as I was a student and only had PT occasional jobs. It was enough for me to survive, as I came with enough savings to complete all my studies. I never intended to stay. I ...

PR and Unemployment. Would I qualify?

Hi! Hoping to find someone in the same situation as me. I'm Spanish, moved to the UK in 2007. I want to apply for PR, but I don't think I would qualify because I haven't been in continuously employment. Anyone in the same situation who has applied for PR? Jan 2012 - Apr 2012: Unemployed. May 2012 - ...
