Re: confirmation letter.

hi, I've got my biometric on Thursday and I'm going to upload my documents aswell. I just wanted to check whether others received a letter because I was worried they didn't receive mine. Just attend the biometrics and forget about any acknowledgments. Some receive the automated email, some dont. It...

Re: Naturalisation document (cert of birth)

I agree with @secret.simon who stated the uncertainty about travel conditions given corona, but I believe travelling for 6-8 weeks after application is pretty doable. It can take up to 6 months after submission to get a decision letter. Majority get a decision in 2-4 months though. Then you have to ...

Re: Name Change

The guidance says you have to update details on BRP in case of a name change within 3 months of the change, otherwise you could be fined. However, in your case, you are applying for Naturalisation and will be returning your BRP after Naturalisation. So an updated BRP does not make sense at this stag...

1) Just send your current Pakistani passport and Naturalisation certificate. Both originals.

2) TNT.

The child can apply for ILR only when your friend’s partner is eligible and does apply for ILR also.

Re: Naturalisation Document required

Assuming you are a non-EEA national, you will scan all entry/exit stamps for yourself and your wife during the qualifying period to prove residence. Wanted to make it clear that you have done that while scanning your current passport.

Re: UKVCAS Passport Uploads

Can anyone please advise if it's OK to upload the same passport scans that I used to apply for my ILR last year? Due to Covid, my husband and I haven't been anywhere, so there have not been any changes to either of our passports. I was hoping to use these scans again and hopefully save ourselves so...

Re: Completing online application (form AN) & documents

Thanks a lot for your quick response. Yes, my partner is a non-EEA national, so presumably all I need is the scanned copy of the passport with all the pages and that should be it? Correct covering the qualifying period Also, yes, I have added the referee details in the form already. So I will need ...

Re: Completing online application (form AN) & documents

There is only one form for adults i.e. Form AN. 1) If your partner is non-EEA national, only passport stamps for the qualifying period are needed to prove residence. 2) Input referee details in the online form before submission. Get the referees to sign the declaration. Scan and upload. https://visa...

Re: Address change after application

You need to notify change of address on the gov website: https://www.gov.uk/change-circumstances-visa-brp However, note, there are many cases reported where HO has failed to update the address and still sent the official correspondence to the old address. You should keep a contact at the old address...

Re: Good character requirement

You should only apply for Naturalisation if you had a legal status in UK for the last 10 years. If not, wait till you reach 10 years from the date you became legal in UK.

Re: Good character requirement

Were you an overstayer in UK or came to UK illegally in any previous 10 years?
If application is refused, you only get £80 back for the ceremony. £1250 (Total £1330 - £80) application fees + £19.20 biometrics fee is lost.

Re: British citizenship or passport Renewal

No need to renew the Indian Passport as long you do not plan to travel with your daughter and she has a valid ILR BRP for identification. Choose the correct option when you fill the MN1 form for passport expiry. The checklist will ask about the expired passport copy. Submit that along with the docum...

Re: ILR SET(M) financial questions and doc. Requirements based on 'Coronavirus (COVID-19) concession'

I think OP meant cohabitation documents. You need documents from 3/4 different sources evenly spread for the last 2 years i.e. every 3/4 months.

Re: CEREMONY INVITATION LETTER NOT RECEIVED MONTHS LATER

Unfortunately there is not much you can do. There are members who waited 8-9 months for ceremony invitations at the start of the pandemic and later also. The backlog has subsided and majority receive them in 3-4 months now. There are always odd ones out. Down to pure luck. I would wait till 3 months...

Re: CEREMONY INVITATION LETTER NOT RECEIVED MONTHS LATER

No one can really answer the reason why your ceremony letter is delayed. Your friend getting an approval letter on the same day could be pure coincidence. Each application is different and timelines can not be matched. Also different CW’s have their own work load/pace etc. However, if HO confirmed t...

Your 3 months are up on 16th June only. It can take 3-4 months after approval. You need to be patient and keep a look at the email/junk folder and postal address also.

Re: Debt with HMRC

You are right the form only asks you to declare any CCJs. Since you do not have one, the debt is merely a civil issue between you and HMRC. Ideally, if I was you, I would explain in a cover letter to be on the safer side, provide evidence for an arrangement of the payment plan and the evidence for t...

Re: Debt with HMRC

An application will not normally be refused simply because the person is in debt, especially if loan repayments have been made as agreed or if acceptable efforts are being made to pay off accumulated debts. However, where a person deliberately and recklessly builds up debts and there is no evidence...

Re: Advice about application withdrawal

Have you been checking your email address including junk folder regularly?

Did you by any chance change address during this period?

Withdrawal at this stage is not a wise decision as others suggested also.
