There are no restriction on any nationality entering Switzerland for I think a max of 6 week's, providing they have either a valid Schengen Visa or UK- ILR . Enjoy your Honeymon in Switzerland and have a look at Locarno, on Lake Maggiore in the Italain part. i'd rather not risk crossing the border ...

r u talking abou deportation or removal?

if its a removal order, then it doesnt affect a person's re-entry i.e. he isnt banned from UK.

if its a deportation order (serious crimes etc), then unless that order is revoked, he ll continue2be banned from UK for 10 years.

an interesting post. u have achieved where every1 else has failed i.e. switching in-country. congratulations.

i would strongly recommend that you now start working towards a "spouse-visa" rather than relying solely on discretionary leave for the next 3 years.

This vote to "disapprove" doesnt have anything to do with cancelling the concssion for overstayers till 1 October, does it? (Who have not contrived to frustrate the immigration rules) Or am I just being dim here?... dont worry about it, all immigration rules are subject to -ive resolution...
