Re: can we apply incountry for Tier 2 General from Tier 2 dependent

I think that was the case during the peak of pandemic few months ago, better consult a solicitor or ring UKVI to get more clearity as it's not a clear picture out here right now.

Re: Time frame for BRP to arrive

I have applied for visa for my son (born this year - ICT dependent) but have not got the BRP even after 22 working days even when the decision letter has been received but we did not get the tracking details for BRP. After 10 working days of decision letter, I have raised the no-BRP card received r...

Re: COS for 5 years when company has licence for 4 years

COS will always have an end date otherwise makes no point in issuing it under restrictive Tier. Your sponsorer might get his license renew after 4 years so you will get duration mentioned on your COS : 3 or 5 yrs. If their renewal is terminated your sponsorship will also be effected so not to worry ...

Re: Spouse Visa Extension - BRP received/ Decision letter NOT received

One of my friend got BRO first and decision letter via post later on, so could be the case.

Anyways you have BRP so having decision letter or not is irrelevant.

Re: BRP not Received

You can only report it on link provided in your approval email if BRP not recieved in 7 working days and wait for their reply.

We were in same situation last year around where it took around 2 month's to get BRP. With current scenario one should expect bit of delay due to UKVI overwhelmed .

Re: UKVCAS IDV App - few questions

For your ease there's topic: Tier 2 In country timelines where individuals are updating their status of applications, might help you out.

One of my friend got decision on 9th October for submission via IDV which was done on 29th August.

Normally need to wait 8 weeks before escalating the case.

Reply from UKVI for IDV applications

Hello,

Hope this helps people still awaiting decisions for applications submitted via IDV app.

Seems we are in long ride as applications are awaiting biometric reinjection to progress further. No wonder applications at centre had results within week's.

You can try replying to caseworker who mailed you about the same as he or she would be probably nearer to the situation on your case.

Re: Tier 2- start work while awaiting decision

You need to do nothing.

Your current and future sponsorers will update SMS system's with all the details.

Ensure ur new employer has all your documents like BRP, PASSPORT copies as it would require and update on SMS (comment) you have started on so and so date

Re: Returning to the UK under Tier 2- Passport and BRP

UKVI specifically mentions on their website at time of applying visa to ensure there are no travels planned until and unless BRP card is issued and i hand of the person applying. No one other than you can collect BRP, if that would have been case UK Gov would had send all BRP's to relevant employer'...

One of my friend had faced similar issue late last year.

Normally it would be around 1-2 month's to get the BRP generated and delivered in such a scenario, try following up every fortnight just to keep it on track.
