Have you proven that the one bedroom back is big enough for all four of you? I suspect it may not be.

Have you drawn up a budget to prove that you can support yourselves?

You are very lucky that they have given you this opportunity, rather than just refusing.

I wouldn't worry. If you have gained ILR by deception then yes, the ILR can be revoked. But they will not take his word for it - they will look at the evidence and speak to you and will come to a fair decision. I would guess that, with an establised relationship of 2 years prior to coming here, they...

In my experience, the often don't. It is a standard letter, sort of like when BT hold message says "you are next in line, please hold, your call is important to us".

All you can do it try. But I think you have a reasonable chance; after all, if she was going to overstay, she would have done so years ago.

I think it is your solicitor's intellectually property which you may be deemed to have stolen and distributed by doing this, and if anyone did it to me I'd be LIVID! Your case is too complex to be dealt with here, and as you have already stated that you do not want 'non professional' advice, I think...

Hmmm. Interesting. It looks as though they are now specifically saying that a UP isn;t a family member until they say so. I haven't seen this letter before, and I have had conflicting advise too.

The reason for the wording is that students used to ahve to go to their nearest job centre and apply for permission to work, but they haven't now for about 8 years, and they haven't changed the wording.

It's brilliant that Al is being allowed to stay, but it is a shame that a) he wasn't granted refugee status in the first place, and b) the same special treatment can't be given to those out of the public eye.

But don't lets take anything away from Al; he deserved this break.

I am very sure that it has been 4 years for at least the past 2 years, and actually I think longer.

My opinion remains the same.
