You won't need to prove this if you are married, but if you don't get married then you will need to prove two years cohabitation.

They don't have access to the system, which is why they can't find out about cautions, but they can easily make requests for info on convictions, and they often do. I disagree with several opinions here. It is clear that when people are married and on a spousal visa that, once the relationship ends, the visa ceases to be valid. I fail to see how an unmarried partnership can be considered differently. HOWEVER...this doesn't sound to me like a final split. Breath...

You need to read the IDI's to see all the details. If they put all the real rules where everyone could read them there would be no refusals.
