Re: Application Approved and then refused!!

One of the requirements when you apply for British citizenship is that you will continue to live in the UK. You clearly did not continue to live in the UK. Looking for a job in New Zealand and moving your entire family over there doesn't sound like you want to continue living in the UK. You only ha...

Re: Application Approved and then refused!!

Have you actually received notification from HO that your nationality is being revoked or is it from HMPO that they are doubting your future intentions to live in the U.K.? In both cases, you will need to provide supporting evidence that you do intend to make UK your home. There is a quite similar ...

Re: JCAP - passport after ceremony

Hi, It’s more than 20 days and I have not received passport. I called passport office and they confirmed that they have not received any update from home office. I called council to check that if they have confirmed back to home office after the ceremony I took on 17th Oct and council confirmed tha...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

So is the passport receipt process as erratic as the grant of citizenship? I had my ceremony on 24 November and I’m still waiting, I saw one timeline where they had their ceremony the day before me and they got theirs on the first! I just called HMPO about changing the address to post it to to my wo...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi All, Just wanted to check if you can attend the ceremony without a letter from home office? The council has the letter and can book the ceremony, but I haven't received the letter from HO yet. The approval letter says you MUST take that letter with you to the ceremony or they will cancel your ce...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

How do they send out passports-just by normal mail it seems rather than sign for etc Generally by DX Courier, dropped through the letterbox without signature, unless you live in high risk areas where they require a signature. Thanks, that will be a problem as I live in an apartment block and if the...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

In a way i do agree with you Harry, the amount of money that is payed you would expect first class service. But unfortunately we just have to wait. Im in the process of applying for a New Zealand visa and i must say the service is 100% better. They can give you updated over the phone and you get to...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Hi guys Do you know roughly how long it takes before you can track your application online? I applied at the beginning of November but none of the reference numbers I was given work (Case ID, Royal Mail Tracking Number and UKVI Reference) Many thanks in advance! Spoke to home office today and was a...

Re: NCS Appointment

Thanks for the advice. :) Unfortunately I don’t have all my P60s within the last 10 years. After finishing university I started working in November 2011 and have been in full time employment since. When I did my application for PR, I submitted official letters from 2 employers confirming date of em...

They have a service where you can arrange to collect the item from one of their service centres if you have missed the delivery.

Delivery of Passports by DX

I believe passports are sent out by DX and this has now caused my next stage of panic. I live in an apartment block so they won't be able to drop off the passport in a letterbox etc. Can anyone else who lives in an apartment block advise whether they had trouble getting their passports re delivered ...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

do we know for sure if the updates on the online checker are happening every day, or every other day etc etc? It's obvious from the speed of the query returns that they are "cached" and not real time. Mine always seems to be stuck at "Awaiting a decision" since 01/09...pretty fr...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Has anyone noticed delays in the council getting the letter telling them you can book the ceremony? I have my approval letter (its one of the 2 in one letters) but when I rang the council they hadn't been informed about me yet. the lady was really nice and said they are a bit hopeless and slow at HO...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

I am trying to understand if the online checker is actually working on not. Is the general feeling that it is not working as it previously did? We all know by now that it is not a real-time system but wonder if anyone has proof that it batch updates every day like it used to? I don't think it's rel...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

The more I look at the timelines people post the more I am convinced there is no "one size fits all" as far as how long an application may take and that they are dealt with definitely by receipt date. In my case, I applied on 29/08 via NCS, received the following day by HO, received appli...
