Naturalisation Vs passport process

This is not a question, just an observation Now that I've applied for my first British passport, I can't help but thinking of how we've been treated during the process of naturalisation! Since I've applied for my passport I've been bombarded by updates about every single step at which my application...

Re: Has anyone sent there PR back to HO free post?

Btw, in my ceremony pack there is absolutely no reference to the need of sending back the BRP in any of the letters/documents included! I learnt about it online!

Re: Has anyone sent there PR back to HO free post?

residence permit You have a BRP card if you got ILR through SET(P). Residence Permit is something specific to EU citizens and their family. Just advising to use the correct terminology. You return your BRP card to the address you would have received in the pack at your ceremony. Google is obviously...

Re: Has anyone sent there PR back to HO free post?

I found this free address and it seems that it's for returning the RPs
Freepost RRYX-GLYU-GXHZ, Returns Unit, PO Box 163, Bristol, BS20 1AB

Anyone can confirm it? And can you send secured post (i.e., ask for evidence of posting) to free address?

Re: Application date - Payment vs Supporting document + biometrics submission

In the instructions given to the applicant, you are encouraged to submit within a strict time frame! But in the instructions given to case workers (can be found in details online) they HAVE to consider the time frame at the date of the decision being made! So if your dates check in a window between ...

Re: Good character changes September 2022

Unlawful residence in the qualifying period of 5 years may disregarded. It is just may be not automatic. There is a very clear criteria of three conditions for "automatic" disregarding it The big question is how can an applicant have ILR & unlawful residence ,absconding or illegal entr...

Re: Does free UKVCAS appointment slow application timeline

so they definitely starting processing it ahead of that appointment. So I don't think it's worth spending 132£ on an early appointment! Although I agree with your observation, Idont think that a case worker can start considering Ur application before biometrics are submitted as the whole file get l...

Does free UKVCAS appointment slow application timeline

Hi there, I tried to extract this info from timelines submitted for the application process of naturalisation! It seems that as of recent, the processing time is about 8-10 weeks from initial submission! From your experience, did a UKVCAS free (thus a long waiting time) appointment affect the proces...

As you can see this covers both the lawfull residence condition AND good character for cases where there are no doubts about the circumstances under which ilr has been granted or the conduct of the applicant thereafter

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

just a quick note/question, it seems all BRPs are issued until 31/12/2024 due to encryption regulations, but will this mean that travel documents are issued to the same date? can people who had TDs issued lately confirm whether that is the case? i.e, r ur TDs valid for 10 years or inline with the da...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

from my observations it seems that 1-the only important date for figuring when an application will be considered, is the date by which the home office receives and logs in an application into their workload queue. 2-the date of biometrics is irrelevant as it just must be there when the time comes to...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

Hello guys. For those who have applied through SET(P), how long before the 5 year refugee leave expires you have to apply for ILR? Is that within the last 30 or 60 days of the expiry of the 5-year leave, or before that? Many thanks and good luck to everyone waiting for answers! 30 days It is not 30...
