Thanks chetanojha. Do they do a blood test as well? Also, is it only in Heathrow where they have these medical examinations or is it present at all the airports in UK?

Thanks. I had mentioned my travel date in the application form as 15th April and hence the start date of my visa is 15th April 2010.

I believe generally you can ask the start date of your visa for a maximum of 3 months from the date of your application.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am a single applicant and need to maintain £2800 as I am applying from outside the UK. I have enough funds to cover this period but I am worried if the case worker may reject this(from an argumentative point) saying that the balance has gone below £4000 on 02-Nov-2009...

No Paydate in Payslps, only months

My payslip doesn't contain any paydates, only months for which the salary is paid. ie March 2009 etc. Is it ncessary to have a paydate in the payslip?

However my bank statements clearly mention that the salary is credited for the month of MAR 09.

Do I have to mention my work permit rejection when applying for Tier1 visa? These are work permit rejections and not any Further Leave To Remain visa rejections. As this was in 2008, it was the old system where you lodge the work permit application and once it is approved, you apply for the visa. Th...
