PEO Appointment Timings

I was trying to book my PEO appointment for ILR and found that there are PEO appointments at 400PM and 0500PM. Does one risk a chance of not getting a decision on the same day if you are booking a late appointment during the day? Could anyone please share their experience? Also, what is the closing ...

Re: Are P60s mandatory for T1(G) setllement applicants?

Even though there is no case of economic activity to be shown for Tier 1(General), I have heard that they could still deny the application. Is that true? My case is an extreme one in that I have not been working for 20 months.....even though I have been able to make 2 successful extensions. Even for...

Are P60s mandatory for T1(G) setllement applicants?

Are P60s mandatory for Tier 1(G) settlement applicants? I believe it is not mandatory but would like this to be confirmed. Do failure to provide these documents result in a rejection of the application? Also, is there any limit in the 5 year period for Tier 1(G) applicants where they have not been e...

Re: Earliest Application Date for ILR

Thanks Argus7. So the 28 days in question will be from the visa start date and not from the day I initially landed in the UK. Also, even though I initially landed on 28-APR-2010, I left the UK on 07-MAY-2010 and came back to the UK again on 05-JUN-2010. Hope this is fine. Also, I was not employed in...

Earliest Application Date for ILR

My Tier-1 visa was approved from 15-April-2010 and I initially landed on 28-APR-2010.

When is the earliest I can lodge an application for ILR? Thanks.

I am going in for an appointment on 06-DEC and wanted to know your advice on the calculation of previous earnings. How do you calculate the previous earnings period of 15 months? I am planning to show from Sept 2012 to June 2013. 1. Is it from 06-Sept-2012 to 05-Dec-2013? If that is the case, how do...

Tricky situation - Tier 1 application

I had my initial Tier 1 extension in March 2013 and my visa is valid up to Mar 2015. However I need one more extension to qualify for PR. I left my job in June 2013 due to personal reasons and was unemployed till November 2013. I heard a rumor round saying that Tier 1 General extensions might be clo...

Tier 1 Extension Visa Start Date

My initial Tier 1 (General) visa was granted on 15-Apr-2010 to 15-Apr-2013. My first entry was on 28-Apr-2010. I applied for an extension via PEO on 21-Mar-2013 and was granted leave from 21-Mar-2013 to 21-Mar-2015. Question 1: Should I have been granted visa for my extension from 15-Apr-2013 to 15-...

Query about ILR through Tier 1 (General) route

Hi, I came to the UK under Tier 1 (General) in 2010 and did not work for the first year. I have been working since 2011. Would I be eligible for ILR in 2015 or 2016? The guidance doesn't say anything about economic activity for Tier 1 (General) requirements. ie you have to produce P60s or similar do...

Name format on BRP card

I recently received my BRP card for my Tier1 (General) extension and would like to clarify the format in which the way 'Name' appears on the card. My name as it appears on the passport is: Surname - MiddleName LastName Given Name - FirstName But the way name appears on the BRP card is: NAME LastName...

Salary Clarification

I give £10 to charity every month and it is deducted from my payroll. So even if my gross salary is £2000, the gross taxable income after £10 charity deduction is £1990.

So what should I indicate as my gross salary - £1990 or £2000 for previous earnings?

Bank Address and Payslip Address are different

So for the extension I have requested for paper statements from HSBC for the past 12 months and got the ...

so does that mean it doesnt apply to anyone who's already in UK before april 2011 or some one who applied on the old rules before 6th april 2011? Typical of the UKBA responses, isn't it? Sorry to hear about your case. Unfortunately, you have overlooked your Tier 2 visa application and quite surprised to know that you opted for a Tier 2 ICT visa in place of a lenient Tier 1 visa with the old set of rules. See if you can switch to the Tier 1 application by lodging a fresh application ...

2. Say you miss out one of the HSBC monthly statements sent by post, if you request you to resend them, the new statments will contain 'DUPLICATE'written on them. I believe UKBA doesn't accept them. I have sent bank statements with "duplicate" on them and had my visa approved (these were ...

I have an account with HSBC and certainly wouldn't advise them for 'Bank Statements' as they have a lot of disadvantages: 1. HSBC doesn't stamp or sign any of the statements provided by them 2. Say you miss out one of the HSBC monthly statements sent by post, if you request you to resend them, the n...
