As your child is UK born, he has an entitlement to register as British once EITHER parent is granted ILR. The child DOES NOT need ILR to apply for citizenship. Thanks for your reply. Hi, I am the main applicant I am eligible to apply ILR on 5 years basis soon. Urgent - ILR Absence Count start date

Could you please help me with this below query

My 5 years fall in window from may-10-2013 to may-10-2018

so if I apply on april -22 application date, then does my absences count starts from application date april-22 back to 5 years or does my absences count starts from may-10-2018 back to 5 years
