JimBuck What street was the Solicitor on?, the forum wont let you name it unfortunately jimbucktoo I was a first time applicant, last year; and applied via the Liverpool office. They do not send off your UK passport---instead they take a photocopy of it and certify that it was indeed you who present...

Hi Folks, Next week, would some kind soul, in Dublin , be prepared to take an envelop from the births/deaths cert office in Dublin 2, then a (10 min walk), and deliver it to the FBR embassy section also in Dublin 2...?

Jeez, Thats tough...National Library of Ireland has a collection of baptisms from some many parishes....not sure the process..drop them an email... should be OK, probably just as quick as getting a birth Cert..if they have it...you may hear along the way , that records, were destroyed, fire .flood.....

If I could jump in...your in the UK?, or your Mum is, that seems weird, as how did she get her passport etc, as her birth cert would have her real surname, and by putting her "adopted" surname on the application she would not have presented a marriage cert(as they are not married)..unless ...
