Notice period and start date of COS

Hi All, I am in the midst of changing sponsor and my new sponsor has issued me with a CoS. However, they have put the start date on the CoS pretty early (early Jan) and there is no way that I will be able to get the visa approved and have served my 1 month notice period by then. Is my only course of...

When Can I apply for 5 year tier 2 ILR?

Hi All, Just want to know this for the future - As I was converting my Tier 2 from a Tier 4 visa, I applied in-country and the Tier 2 visa was issued on the 10th Aug 2014. However, I only started work (start date on my COS as well) on the 21st Sept 2014. As I understand it, we are allowed to apply f...

Re: Re-use IHS number

I was told by someone that they simply just imput the old IHS number into the system when they applied and that was accpeted. Not sure how risky it will be though!

Re: Re-use IHS number

Yea so it seems its going to be impossible to get to speak to the case worker before the IHS payment.

I might try and give them a ring to ask.

Re: Re-use IHS number

Thanks!

I was of the impression that you pay for IHS surcharge before the premium appointment? Maybe I'm wrong, I've not used the premium service before. So do you pay everything on the day itself?

I've not tried that route before so I'm not sure how it works.

Re: Re-use IHS number

Thanks for the reply.

How did that person get in contact with the case worker? Don't we get provided the option to pay the IHS surcharge before we decide how we want our application to be considered (standard, priority or premium).

Thanks,
Ben

Re-use IHS number

Hi All, I am about to change sponsor and reapply for a new tier 2 visa. I have just got my tier 2 extension approved last week and will be reapplying in the next couple of weeks. I have been told by someone who claims that she was able to re-use the IHS number from her old application (and therefore...

Re: In-Country Tier 2 extension delay

I've actually just called their hotline and they gave me a call back within 2 hours to let me know that a decision has been made yesterday on my case (exactly 8 weeks) and that a parcel has been sent to me via Royal Mail (I'm assuming my documents). Maybe you should try calling them as well? Hopeful...

Re: In-Country Tier 2 extension delay

Thanks CR001, I'm aware of this thread but did not think it was 100% relevant as most of the applicants there were applying outside the UK whilst mine is an in-country application.

Thanks

In-Country Tier 2 extension delay

Hi Everyone, It has been 8 weeks since I applied through the standard route and I have not received any communication (apart from the biometric enrolment letter). From reading this forum, I understand that calling / emailing them is useless as they refuse to comment on individual cases and will just...
