My wife had digested the rules better than I...

We are already 5 1/2 years in, since the last extension took 5 months to grant, and prevented my wife from traveling anywhere during that application....grrrr..

As such we'll simply extend our current one …

My wife travelled last year without her BRP because it had not been issued by the time she was flying... Indeed although she was away for 5 weeks it still had not been issued by the time she was ready to fly home.. We had to contact Heathrow Immigration and get them to contact the airline desk to ag...

Any response anyone please?

I have noted on the FCO website it states that passports only have to be valid for duration of trip, so cannot see why the ILR would have to extend further than this??
