Just received my british passport. I did not change name. it was very quick just got in 2 weeks.

And also when we called to book ceremony there was no private ceremony date available before this date so we booked the free one.

To answer questions of vaza, my kid is 3 so she goes to nursery and I am also permanent employee so yes I have employer to report.

Doing application all over again is something I really dnt want to do. I totally understand life is more important all over this but we have spend quite a lot on this too.

If you both are sponsoring then best to include his company document, company tax return, business bank statement, personal bank statement, Self Assessment etc but if you are only sponsoring then no need unless the savings is joint name. I have seen many of my friends parents visited more that 3 times in past few years, everytime they stayed full 6 months. I remember they never mentioned 6 months stay in their application. their visa never got rejected. So why will it happen in my mother's case?

But what is the issue staying longer than stated in application as long as it was within the valid visa period available. She went back before the expiry of her tourist visa.
